The Soulful Living Group
Jan
8
to Dec 10

The Soulful Living Group

soulful living group

This is your monthly re-set.

Each month, we will meet, and sit, and meditate together.  We will cultivate intention, resilience, dignity, compassion, presence, receptivity, clarity, courage, brilliance, love, community, friendship, creativity, and aliveness.

We will organize ourselves around what really matters, and we will re-commit, each month to everything that we believe in.

We will live with our whole hearts, and stay grounded in the wisdom of our souls.  We will listen to call of spirit, and honor the deep connection that we all share with earth and with each other.

The Soulful Living Group is a growing, global community of humans who believe in the power of intention, the truth in beauty, and the radical idea that we have the power to change our reality when we change our minds.  We learn to listen to the call of soul, and we know that the soul speaks to those who listen.

What we do together:

* We will meet for 1 hour on Zoom, at the beginning of each month for a year.

* Each call includes a soul talk based on the focus of the month, and a 20 minute guided meditation to integrate the teachings.

* There will also be monthly book suggestions inspired by the monthly focus.

* Each call will be recorded and sent out to all members, so you don't need to be there for the live calls.  You can listen whenever you want or need.  (After our first call on January 8, we will send out a survey to everyone in the group to see which days/times will work best for the future calls.  The calls will then be scheduled so most of the group can attend the live calls)

* You will have access to our private online network where we can share ideas, inspirations, support each other, and connect.  You will be able to download the app for your phone as well.

We begin on January 8 at 10 am EST.

The Power in your Purpose

The Power in your Purpose

  • Baltimore Yoga Village-Mt. Washington Studio (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

At the center of yoga philosophy is the teaching of Svatantrya.  This is sanskrit, and it translates as "the Self-Woven Universe".  It means that the Universe is free to create however it wants, and so are we.  As the weavers of our lives, we must choose our own meaning.  Meaning is something we create, and it effects how we think, how we speak, and how we live.  What life means to you is your north star.  It guides you during dark times, light times, in your work, your relationships, and in all choices that you make.  When we get clear on our purpose, our lives can flow with much more ease.

In this workshop, we will explore meaning and purpose through story, asana practice, journaling and group discussion.  You will learn about yourself, uncover the power of your purpose, and discover what it means to live the" self woven" life.

Soul Food-Nurture your Nature

to Jul 1

Soul Food-Nurture your Nature

Your soul is your essence, it is your nature, your wisdom, and the ground of who you are.  Modern life and culture often pull us away from the soul, and we feel dry, tired, and disconnected from our true knowing.  Living in relationship with soul, awakens us to our inherent connection with All That Is.  It gives us access to our intuition, our vitality, our creativity, our inherent juiciness and our imaginative wisdom.  This way of "coming home" to ourselves truly inspires our lives and uplifts our connections to our selves and to each other.

This will be a weekend of feeding the soul through inspired and heart-centered asana practices, storytelling, guided meditation, and group discussion.  You will leave feeling more grounded, inspired, connected, and more in tune with your soul purpose for this life.

* Learn alignment based yoga asana to more deeply and ease-fully inhabit your body.

* Marni will shares stories of archetypes from the yoga tradition, and others, to illuminate the ways of communicating with your soul.

* Learn simple and profound meditation practices that you can use daily to stay rooted in your soul wisdom and stay inspired with your life.

The Yoga of Self-Care

The Yoga of Self-Care with Alyson MacLatchy and Marni Sclaroff

How you take care of yourself is the ground on which everything else in your life stands. You could say that self-care is truly a radical act of service, because it strengthens our resiliency, vitality, and it allows us to be more "available" for our work, our relationships, and everything that matters to us.  When we take care of ourselves well, we create the conditions for healing and presence, and we become inspirations for others too.

In this interactive and illuminating workshop, Marni and Aly will share simple practices, rituals, and suggestions for taking care of your body, your heart, your spirit, and your energy.  We will discuss food, morning and evening practice, meditation, sleep, rest, energy balancing, daily cleansing rituals and more.

Lovelight Yoga and Music Festival

The Lovelight Yoga and Arts Festival is a wholly interactive environment wherein the goal is to enlighten and empower as well as encourage expression and participation. At Lovelight, the line between performer and participant is blurred; the Lovelight community is so rich with talent and wisdom, everyone plays a part in a cosmic passion play that creates inspiration, knowledge and brotherhood. We share the light inside of us and know that we are warmed by the light in others.

Lovelight is a festival wherein all the world’s a stage. Rejoice in the human experience and inspire personal growth through exchanging information, artistic expression, and random acts of kindness. All attendees are encouraged to perform and share their art with radical participation.  Our mission is to celebrate and share the Lovelight in all of us.

The talent and entertainment is organized by the Lovelight staff, to ensure a safe environment and a wide range of offerings that facilitates equal access and opportunities for all. The organizing team has provided a canvas on which the Lovelight community creates a collage made of wisdom, inspiration, tolerance, and growth. Lovelight is a place to highlight and strengthen that which we practice every day and deeply cherish: kindness, creativity, and acceptance of those who may walk a different path but seek the same destination— as the great Integral Yogi Swami Satchidananda said 'The paths are many, but the truth is one.'
