Dont give up...

There Is an inevitable period of self-loathing that you will experience when you start to honestly look at yourself. You begin the process of self-reflection, and you see everything. You see all of the ways that you lie to yourself and to others, you see your judgments your envies, your fears and angers. You see all the ways that you've been twisting yourself to fit into some strange fantasy that you were pretending was real. I experienced this self loathing for many years, over and over again. Here's my advice. Don't give up. Don't stop looking at yourself, don't stop practicing, don't stop loving yourself. Just keep doing your work, keep doing your practice and keep looking inside with so much compassion. Look with compassion. Imagine you are small and innocent. Every time you sit and look, watch how cruel you can be to yourself, and stop it whenever you notice. Send yourself love, send yourself compassion, and choose better next time. Your life is going on, you will choose better next time. Find people who will mirror kindness to you, find people who will teach you how to love you. Pray for those people to show up and surround you in all directions. And when they come; welcome them, thank them, cherish them.
