Yoga, Macrame, and The Art of Slow.
You're invited to join us for this intimate, private retreat at Tamar's home in Cherry Hill. Author and yoga teacher Marni Sclaroff will be joining fiber artist and women's wellness blogger Angela Boltz for a special, soul-nourishing gathering of women.
Marni will start this beautiful day by leading our group through a slow and juicy practice of yoga, meditation and journaling that will open up the channels of creativity, deep listening, and intuitive guidance. After a small break for snacks and tea, Angela Boltz will guide us through an exploration of macramé, the soothing ancient textile art of decorative knotting. The intention is to explore art as a slow living ritual that grounds us, lifts our spirits, and brings us back to center. Participants will be offered cacao, traditionally used as a creative allie, before we begin our projects and craft a wall hanging of our own.
Join Alyson Maclatchy and Marni Sclaroff for a grounding weekend retreat at the luxury retreat center ~ Casa Om Potomac. As we step through the threshold of the cross quarter day between fall equinox and winter solstice, we prepare the ground for the darker half of the year.
Together, we will honor the rhythms of nature by engaging in practices that will direct energy back to our roots. This is the time for nourishing the inner light with intention, quiet and rituals. Join us for a weekend of yoga, meditation, forest bathing, creative play and gathering in sacred circle. Take time to slow down and fortify your roots before the rush of the holidays!
In order to serve others, we must first know how to take care of ourselves. The more internally re-sourced we become, the more we can show up to the things that matter with our full presence and vitality. We each have personal rhythms of thriving. You will learn how to create daily rituals of self- care that support your well-being. This session will include discussion, simple yoga and breathing practices and some journaling.
The third eye is really your first eye, it is the place of your highest vision. It is the place of infinite possibilities and wild imagination. Join us for yoga and meditation practices of connecting to our highest vision, and consciously crafting our lives. Please bring a yoga mat, pen and a journal.

Our posture affects how we feel about ourselves and our lives. In this workshop, we will plant seeds for a healthier spine, a strong spirit, and a revolutionary way of inhabiting our bodies.
Join us for a playful exploration of the key actions needed for handstand. We will unpack both the interoceptive (inner body awareness) and the proprioceptive (outer body awareness) actions that will inspire both steadiness and ease in your body. This workshop will include hands-on support that will give everyone, regardless of skill level, an uplifting and inspired experience. You will also learn simple home practices that will give you the strength and flexibility required for this pose. Yoga teachers will love this as well, because you will learn how to confidently support others in exploring handstand.
Marni will lead a discussion and group meditation on conscious parenting.

Your soul is the deepest part of your being; It is begingless, endless, and infinite. It holds all of the wisdom that you will ever need in this lifetime to continue with your evolution. Your spirit holds your vision, your creative inspiration, and your activated potential for who you are becoming. Yoga is the practice of expanding harmony in the center of these two sacred currents. This will be a powerful practice of accessing these two essential currents through asana, meditation and an inspired discussion.
Marni Sclaroff wrote the book, Wild Human, over a 3-year period, during which she was deep in the midst of heartbreak. She made a commitment to herself that she would live her yoga through every challenge, and that she would write and share the wisdom of the practice in her daily instagram posts. Her writing is vulnerable, courageous, and poetic. Join Marni and the Beloved community for an inspired evening of readings, storytelling, meditation and great conversation.
All attendees will receive a signed copy of Marni's book, Wild Human.

A Yoga and Essential Oil Practice to Prepare for Winter.
With Marni Sclaroff
Monday, October 29, 7:30-9 pm at Rise Wellbeing Center
From October 31-November 1, we celebrate the midpoint between the autumn equinox and the winter solstice. This holiday is commonly known as Halloween, or from the Celtic tradition, Samhain. In ancient, earth based traditions, this is said to be the spiritual new year, as it is the end of the harvest, and the beginning of the long winter rest. It is a time when the veils between the worlds are more thin, which gives us an easier access to higher spiritual frequencies. It is a time to nourish our inner light as the outer light wanes. It is a time for magic, dreaming and clarifying your vision for the future.
Our rituals bring us together in rhythm with nature, which is where our vitality and wellness are anchored.
Through a slow and juicy yoga practice, meditation, chanting, and essential oils, you will experience a living ritual that will illuminate your inner body to support you through the coming season. You will create clear and beautiful intentions that will carry you through to spring.
All participants will receive 1 specially blended oil to use in class and to take home.
LEMON, PEPPERMINT & LAVENDER
Lets learn all about how these three oils can clean your home, support your wellness, and inspire your heart.
Please be in a quiet space and have a notebook, a pen, and your collection of essential oils. I recommend Doterra oils, as they are of the highest quality and the most pure.
If you already have some oils, those will work perfectly for this class, but if you’d like to purchase some, please follow this link:
This class is free, and all are welcome. We will meet on Zoom. Once you RSVP, you will receive the link to join the call.

You will feel more grounded and more connected to the flow of your life. We will practice asana, meditation and journaling. Please bring a pen and journal.

Your soul is your essence, it is your nature, your wisdom, and the ground of who you are. Modern life and culture often pull us away from the soul, and we feel dry, tired, and disconnected from our true knowing. Living in relationship with soul, awakens us to our inherent connection with All That Is. It gives us access to our intuition, our vitality, our creativity, our inherent juiciness and our imaginative wisdom. This way of "coming home" to ourselves truly inspires our lives and uplifts our connections to our selves and to each other.
This will be a weekend of feeding the soul through inspired and heart-centered asana practices, storytelling, guided meditation, and group discussion. You will leave feeling more grounded, inspired, connected, and more in tune with your soul purpose for this life.
* Learn alignment based yoga asana to more deeply and ease-fully inhabit your body.
* Marni will shares stories of archetypes from the yoga tradition, and others, to illuminate the ways of communicating with your soul.
* Learn simple and profound meditation practices that you can use daily to stay rooted in your soul wisdom and stay inspired with your life.
Marni will be presenting during one of the breakout sessions called: Taking Care of Your Badass Self.

The Minneapolis Yoga Conference is an exploration of what yoga is. It is designed to serve the community not as a proclamation of answers, but instead as an unending set of questions. Our primary aim is to explore the practice of yoga in an open, welcoming space for everyone in the yoga community. We embrace and celebrate the different and unique perspectives across the wider yoga community, so that together we can feel can feel a unity that is all too often missing. We are a conference that accepts, embraces and celebrates everyone for exactly where they are in their yogic journey, no matter where they are.
For the 2018 conference we have once again curated a group of world-class presenters, providing countless offerings and hundreds of available workshop hours. Whether you’ve been practicing for twenty days or twenty years, the 2018 Minneapolis Yoga Conference will have something for you
At the center of yoga philosophy is the teaching of Svatantrya. This is sanskrit, and it translates as "the Self-Woven Universe". It means that the Universe is free to create however it wants, and so are we. As the weavers of our lives, we must choose our own meaning. Meaning is something we create, and it effects how we think, how we speak, and how we live. What life means to you is your north star. It guides you during dark times, light times, in your work, your relationships, and in all choices that you make. When we get clear on our purpose, our lives can flow with much more ease.
In this workshop, we will explore meaning and purpose through story, asana practice, journaling and group discussion. You will learn about yourself, uncover the power of your purpose, and discover what it means to live the" self woven" life.
